In April I sought prayer for the then forthcoming national elections in India. God answered your prayers and the prayers of many throughout the world in a wonderful way – please remember to thank him.

Everyone on the team was eager to complete the job. But even at this late date the church and clinic may be built. Even as I write this, our Liberian Conference president, Pastor Abraham David, is working for the release of the container from the dock.

My brother-in-law once said, “The only thing that really lasts is people.” Ever since I heard that, I have put less and less emphasis upon things and more and more upon the effort of building lasting and meaningful relationships.

I love my involvement in the Lead Team, because this is an intentional gathering of pastors/leaders for a 24-hour period of doing life together. Just the other day, as we were returning to the Blowing Rock campground after dinner, I saw a sign that caught my attention because it represented our experience during the retreat.
