In the last four weeks, I will have sat at the table with official boards serving two of our regions, an associate member organization and a local church. By invitation or by appointment, ACGC is represented by the executive director on a number of boards and committees that execute valuable ministries, which directly or indirectly serve our churches around the world.

In all honesty, attending board meetings isn’t the most desired activity assigned to my office. There are those occasions when I wonder what is being accomplished as time is spent in reviewing minutes, listening to reports, wrestling with budgets and developing strategic plans. While I am not looking for any more meetings to attend, I have recognized that some really significant work is accomplished as gifted men and women who are passionate about the ministry serviced by their particular board are contributing to the growth and health of our denomination.
