On a recent trip to New York City to visit my oldest son, I had the opportunity and privilege to ride on the subway. There are so many people in New York City that it would be virtually impossible for people to drive their cars as there are very few convenient places to park. I often thought, as I was walking around, that on some blocks there are more people going and coming in one small area of the city than in many entire towns.

Memphis - On Sunday September 6, Rev. Francis Ssebikindu and Living Water Community Church hosted ACGC Director of Outreach Rev. Tim Fox and ACGC Director of Communications Justin Nash. In a service filled with vibrant times of praise, prayer and testimonies, Rev. Fox brought the morning message. A certificate was also presented to Mrs. Orlisa Horton on behalf of the church in recognition of their giving $14,245.25 to Penny Crusade over the last 10 years. Following the service was a cookout and a time of great fellowship.

In these hard times, God is still in control. Now, more than ever, we need to acknowledge our blessings and thank him for his provision. Now, more than ever, we need the wisdom of his word. We need his guidance to live and give wisely. With the needs presenting themselves each day and as followers of Jesus we need to heed His word, “Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer” (Hebrews 10:24 – 25 GNT).
