World Outreach - February 24, 2010 |
FROM THE LATIN AMERICA AREA DIRECTOR
Teamwork is the Key to the Kingdom!
Iglesia Emaús in Tecate, Mexico, and Blessed Hope AC Church in Waterville, Maine, team up for the Lord!
Blessed Hope Advent Christian Church did, indeed, bless their sister church, Iglesia Emaús in Tecate, Mexico. Iglesia Emaús is our Mexican Conference Advent Christian Church located in the border town of Tecate. The Blessed Hope Church of Waterville, Maine, put together a team of five leaders and nine students that worked hard all week. They accomplished the goal of preparing the roof trusses for the church building and laying the foundation of a retaining wall that will eventually become one of the walls for the extended church building. |

Announcements and Upcoming Events - February 24, 2010 |
Harbinger Bible Conference 2010 Rally Dates
Come experience Christ with us!
Located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, this camp was founded as a faith-work in the early 1970s. It was created as a place where other Christians could come to rest and spend time with the Lord with no concern about the cost, and the camp still operates with that same faith.
Contact us to come to a weekend rally and stay in one of our guestrooms, bring a trailer or camp in a tent. Once you experience the love and fellowship at Harbinger we know that you will want to keep coming back again and again.
Spring Rally, May 20 – 23
Speaker – Rev. Earl “Pete” Waterman, Nova Scotia
Summer Rally, July 22 – 25
Speaker – Rev. Lou Going, Whitefield, N.H.
Fall Rally, September 23 – 26
Speaker – Rev. Gary Williams, Milford, N.H.
Make your reservations early. Space is limited.

IF Update - February 24, 2010 |
I have known this for years, but this week it has been confirmed in a powerful way. What am I talking about? Well, quite simply, I am talking about being an extrovert. Anyone who knows me at any depth would be able to see this, I’m sure. There’s nothing wrong with being an extrovert or, for that matter, an introvert, per se. The issue for me is whether or not I can participate in the community of the church, regardless of what I am like personally.
During the past few days, I have spent time with a group of men who share a similar passion and common needs. We have listened to each other, talked about many issues that consume our lives and ministries, prayed together, laughed together and, more importantly, devoured the Word of God together over an extended period of time. It truly has been a refreshing time. |

A Word From Our Executive Director - February 24, 2010 |
 Executive Council Honors Homer Easley
On February 18, 2010, the Executive Council came to Charlotte to meet. The major items of business were the appointment of Tom and Nelda Lobb to serve as associate personnel for the Department of Outreach and assigned to join our staff in the Philippines. Their primary area of responsibilities will be connected with our work in Mati. Also, Jeff and Penny Vann have been redeployed to serve in New Zealand. For more information about these appointments see the posting below in “From the Director of World Outreach.” We also adopted a balanced budget of $2.1 million for 2010, which is actually about $4,000 less than the 2009 operational budget. It is worth noting that we completed 2009 with a shortfall of only $8,400. Considering the weak economy we have had to endure for the last 18 months, we feel that our year-end position was very encouraging. |
