On my way to work recently, I passed a favorite ice cream spot that is closed for the winter but I noticed the sign out front which read… “Honestly…Spring will come! Re-opening in March” Our area has endured a harsh winter with lots of snow-covered roads which has left many people wondering…thus, the reason for the words on the sign.
This sign reminded me of the words found in Psalm 74:17, speaking of our Lord…
“It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.” Our Lord made the seasons and still controls the seasons. So…it is true…honestly, spring will come, not because of the sign, but because of the faithfulness of our God.
May this month find you enjoying the “hint” of the next season as it reminds us of God’s faithfulness…morning by morning, new mercies I see.
