We have fewer than two weeks before the 2017 ACGC Triennial Convention begins here in Charlotte, N.C. If you have not registered, it is not too late but rooms at the Renaissance may be hard to find. If you can’t get a room let us know, we have some alternate suggestions you might consider.
I wanted to share some basic information with you so that when you arrive you will be able to find the hotel or get a ride from the airport.
The hotel address and phone number:
Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel
2800 Coliseum Centre Drive, Charlotte NC
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Remember to get your $2.00 off discount breakfast buffet coupons at check-in. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. on Thursday after the convention.
The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to pick you up at the airport. Just call the hotel after you have arrived and retrieved your luggage at the phone number above; they will pick you up and drop you off at the front door. You can check in at the hotel front desk and then follow the signs to sign in for the convention.
Please remember the hotel has a shuttle for many locations in the Charlotte area, including restaurants and sight-seeing; check with front desk for a list of those places and connections for public transportation. All of the rooms will have microwaves, coffee makers and mini-refrigerators and you will have free Wi-Fi in your room. There is a fitness center and an indoor swimming pool available on site for you to enjoy.
The hotel is providing a complimentary reception for us on Monday, June 26th after the evening service with cookies, crackers and cheese and lemonade. During this time, the ACGC Resource Center will be hosting a book signing for Bob Mayer’s new book, “Adventism Confronts Modernity: An Account of the Advent Christian Controversy over the Bible’s Inspiration.”
So plan to come and enjoy this great location for our 13th Triennial General Conference Session!
