More than 30 years ago, four men with a shared desire to educate young men and women in the Christian worldview worked collaboratively to establish the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies. Their simple slogan captured the heartbeat of the Institute: “Christian Discipleship in a Caring Community.” Integral to the success of that mission would be dedicated leaders who could capably administrate the operations of a non-profit organization and yet faithfully shepherd hundreds of students through the program. God provided two such men in President Steve Brown and Vice President Wes Ross. From the beginning, these two men committed themselves wholeheartedly to the mission of BICS and invested sacrificially in the life of each of the 400 young men and women who have enrolled at the Institute since 1988. As you may know, on September 30, 2018, both men retired from administrative leadership at BICS, marking 30 years of faithful service.

To honor these two men, we’re planning a special Retirement Celebration. On Friday, May 10, 2019, we will gather at the Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, Massachusetts to reflect on God’s faithfulness to and through these two servants. You will find more details on our website at Seating is limited, and the response deadline is April 15.

P.S. To keep up with what’s going on at BICS, follow us on Facebook, @berkshireinstitute!
