Last week ACGC hosted training for Natural Church Development (NCD) coaches. This was led by trainer Justin Manzey of Latitude Ministries. The group met from Tuesday through Thursday going through basics of NCD and how to work with churches. Following the time with Justin Manzey, the Advent Christian trainees spent time with Director of Church Health Justin Nash to strategize how to continue reaching out to our churches as a team of coaches. Southern region president John Gallagher, Southern Region Superintendent Joe Pritchett and Western Regional Superintendent Rick Qualls were all trained as NCD coaches. The group ended their sessions committed to taking an additional 15 Advent Christian churches through the NCD survey before the end of 2019. Please be in prayer for these men and their commitment to help our churches become healthy and reproducing and please prayerfully consider having your church be one of the 15.
This week, our superintendents and Executive Council members will be coming to Charlotte for our February meetings. We are excited about sharing the results and movements of our strategic plan to the council and our plans for the future. Please be in prayer for these meetings as we are struggling with the budgetary and practical needs of our denomination moving forward. We aim to train emerging leaders to work and pastor in our churches, to strengthen our churches, to plant new churches and to reach the unreached people groups around the world. Councilmembers will be coming from all five of our regions to represent our churches and ministries as we work together to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
We will finish up on Friday afternoon, so please remember to pray for them as they travel home!
