It has been an exciting weekend and beginning of this week as I have been in the Seattle area meeting with pastors and leadership. On Monday and Tuesday, 16 of us have been looking at the Strategic Plan and how it relates to the local ministry in our churches, how ACGC can come alongside in helping cast the vision of loving the lost, strengthening our churches, investing in church planting, and working on developing leaders across the board. It is exciting to hear the stories of our pastors and their ministries, to celebrate with them how God is working.
I want to share with you a wonderful opportunity for all of us to make a stand for the work of the kingdom in loving the lost and caring for the refugees of our world. Director of World Outreach Jeff Walsh and I went to Wheaton College in Illinois a few weeks ago for a summit with GC2 and other agencies talking about the crisis of more than 60 million refugees in our world today and how the Church will respond to the need. On January 20, there will be another gathering of pastors, leaders and resource people to take another step toward responding to this need of the love of God toward those in crisis. Please go to GC2summit.com and read about what has been done and how you can hear more. There is a link for a webcast that will happen that day and a registration if you would like to go and participate. Please be in prayer for this gathering and the leadership of the Holy Spirit as we respond to this great need.
