From ACGC – March 27, 2019

“Passing the Mantle,” the 2019 Leader’s Conference, is just a little over a month away, in Waymart, Penn. I hope you have already registered for the conference and are planning to join us. This conference is designed to help you learn about discipleship and leave with a custom plan for your ministry. Kevin Peck will be sharing in our large group gatherings, but also participating in affinity groups to work with our leaders in developing a plan for training leaders in their ministries.

Kevin Peck is the lead pastor of the Austin Stone Community Church in Austin, Texas. Kevin works to bring strategic leadership, strong teams and a passion for developing leaders to the local church. Kevin also serves as the Acts 29 Network Director for Emerging Regions, helping to recruit and train church planters throughout Africa and Asia. Kevin received his doctorate in leadership from Southern Seminary. He is married to Leslie and together they have three beautiful girls Ellie, Halle and Ivey.

Kevin and co-author Eric Geiger have written a book, “Designed to Lead,” with the driving conviction that no organization, institution or community should outpace the church in developing leaders to bless the world. Paul Dean, our superintendents and I have been working through the book in preparation for the conference and I want to encourage you to get a copy and spend some time exploring the practical helps and ideas about leadership developing. We will have a limited supply of books available at the conference, so you can get a copy while you are there.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you there and experiencing a powerful few days designing a plan to develop leaders to bless this world, our denomination and our churches. I hope our E-News readers will encourage the pastors and leaders within their churches to attend this conference. There are scholarship funds available to help many of our pastors to attend, so please check with your conferences and regions.
