NEWS FROM MINISTRIES IN AFRICA

GOD DOESN’T TAKE VACATIONS
An occasional vacation often brings a reality check, reminding me that turning off the internet and the telephone does not mean that God has stopped working.

A phone call to Tanzania full of background noise:
“Sorry, Brother Bryce! We are doing an open-air crusade! People are coming to Jesus! Please call me again in two hours!” (Johnson Odoyo)

A phone call to Malawi, speaking with Pastor Ken Perkins:
“Hi Bryce! We still have a week of teaching ahead of us. We have provided 28 bicycles to pastors!”

A call to an orphanage in Kenya:
“Brother Ondieki! Donors have sent money so the orphans can eat! We will send the money today!”
“OH! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! They will be so happy!” (Samuel Ondieki)
“How is your church going?”
“People are so hungry for Jesus! The numbers are growing and growing! We are nearly at 250 members!” (Samuel Ondieki)

John 5:17 (ESV): “But Jesus answered them, ‘My Father is working until now, and I am working.’”
