Pastor Suiter reports on the West Valley Advent Christian Church VBS:
The 20 kids began their day with music and exercise. A main story about a Bible character was shared by Darin (one of our visiting youth) and then the kids played a game. After which, they gathered for various activities: story time and arts and crafts. The kids enjoyed beach-like snacks, deep sea craft projects and fun biblical stories. Church members helped out with registration, lesson planning, housing two students, decorations and preparing food and snacks for the kids and for the family BBQ. We want to thank our students: Ashlyn from North Carolina, Elijah from Chicago and Darin and Joelle from California. We also want to thank the WVCC Youth who came and helped and Brandon for busing them. Thanks to the families who shared their children with us, and a special thanks to Janelle for her sacrificing efforts to organize the main event. I am sure there are more people to thank, but God knows who you all are: Well done good and faithful servants!
MALAWI AC CONFERENCE
Cliff Sosono – New Conference President
We were all sorrowful in mourning the death of Conference President Samuel Sosono together, but we were pleased to receive the new president of the conference, his older brother Cliff Sosono. At 52 years, Cliff is the oldest surviving Sosono brother. He is a 30-year veteran of public education, who is presently serving as principal of a high school and is planning to retire next year to dedicate more time to this new ministry. He translated effectively for the short-term team that went to Malawi in July. His administrative expertise will certainly be appreciated in this ministry of oversight. Our prayer is that God will anoint him to carry on his brother’s ministry.
NIGERIA AC CONFERENCE
The AC Conference in Nigeria just ended their two-day National Men’s Fellowship rallies. Men from all of the churches were in attendance.
The theme of the event was FOLLOW CHRIST IN HIS EXAMPLE. During the various seminars of interest there were sessions on preaching and teaching. There was much singing and Bible memorization. One of the great events of the conference was to teach men to verbalize the gospel and to give them a chance to share it with someone before the end of the conference.
