Another year of Lakeside Junior Camp has come to an end and we are so grateful for the work God continues to do in the hearts of the kids during our time together. This year we had roughly 50 campers, ages 8 to 12. In addition to our campers, we had 13 counselors, four of which were made up of the Advent Christian General Conference summer ministry team. We cannot say enough about the staff we had this year and are so fortunate to work alongside such a strong group of individuals who genuinely immerse themselves in the week from day one and reflect the love God has for them. Each morning we participated in a few friendly competitions among each other, requiring teamwork and creative thinking. Our afternoons were filled with electives such as swimming, crafts, lawn games and woodworking. Before we started our activities for the day and as we were winding down we were blessed with Bible studies led by Jeremy York. Our theme for this encampment was BEloved. Ephesians 2:4-5 says, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved.” The campers were given a verse each day to memorize, focusing on the love God has for us. Erica, Laura and I began our friendship as junior campers at Lakeside 22 years ago and feel so blessed to be able to now direct at a place that has meant so much to us. We covet your prayers and are so thankful we serve a God whose steadfast love endures forever.

Pastor Ahaj Kumar Pani (ministering in Odisha since 1999) writes:
“We love, care and serve the homeless, orphans, semi-orphans and the poor, needy, abandoned and down-trodden people and children in our mission state by providing food and clothes and other necessities. We are proclaiming the good news of salvation to the unreached people while doing some charity work.
Pictured below is Pastor Ahaj Kumar Pani preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the homeless people before sharing of the food. They all heard the gospel for the first time from us. God is great, and the Lord is doing great work through our ministry. All glory to Jesus Christ, who is helping us to do this wonderful, helping ministry.
Many here do not receive daily food to eat and water to drink. Their lives are difficult and painful, living without hope and future. Only Godly and God-fearing people can feel their pain. We thank God for giving us such a wonderful heart to feel their tragedy and agony. Thank you so much for making this happen through your prayers and financial help. Let the name of God be glorified today and forevermore. Amen”

Pastor B. Balu Nayak (Balunayak Banjara Tribal Ministries) from the Telangana state writes:
“Greetings Dr. M. M. Immanuel,
I received the funds for Feed the Poor. Thank you very much, and thanks to ACGC International Missions for the regular financial support for feeding the poor in our area. Many who are poor and disabled have become beggars and are so happy for the Feed the Poor. I am praying for you, your family and ACGC.
All glory to God!”
