Student & Family Ministries – June 14, 2017

                             Brian Aaby

CONVENTION SPOTLIGHT: ONE MORE PLUG FOR COACHING SESSIONS!

Last month, I shared with you about an exciting opportunity we’ve got for you at the upcoming Triennial Convention in June. I want to use this, my last E-News column before the convention, to make one last plug for that opportunity. With that in mind, at our upcoming convention, Youth Specialties’ Director of YS Coaching and YS Search, Brian Aaby will be available to youth workers and pastors alike, for one-hour coaching sessions. Normally an opportunity that costs quite a bit of money, this opportunity will be made available to convention attendees (or youth workers near the Charlotte area) free of charge.

This unique equipping experience will give pastors or youth workers the chance to talk about issues pertinent to their specific ministry contexts. Participants will set the agenda, while Brian will guide the discussion, providing advice coming from his years of training and experience in youth ministry. Sessions will be between 40 and 60 minutes in length, with time slots being offered throughout the final three days of the convention.

If you are attending the convention, we encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity to seek counsel from one of the leading practitioners in the youth ministry world. In addition to his time at Youth Specialties, Brian is a youth ministry veteran of more than 20 years, spending 17 years as a youth pastor and serving as founder and director of Youthmark, an organization known for their Mission51 concepts, offering training and resources for the 51 weeks beyond a mission trip.

If you have any further questions about these coaching sessions, or anything else the Department of Student and Family Ministries might be up to at our Triennial Convention, you can contact me at 1-800-676-0694, x. 240 or mlarkin@acgc.us. And as always, if you have any questions about the services provided by the Department of Student and Family Ministries, you can contact me, or our Coordinator of Educational Ministries, Meredith Broadway at x. 242 or mbroadway@acgc.us. We hope to see you in a couple of weeks at our 13th Triennial Convention!

In Christ,
Matt Larkin
