Christmas may seem far off still, but Christmas in October isn’t. Every year, through Christmas in October we are given the opportunity to provide Christmas gifts to our active and retired missionaries. We are also able to include Christmas gifts for leaders of our ministry partners. A Christmas gift to missionaries may not seem so important. But encouraging those on the front lines of ministry, often in difficult places of the world, is vitally important. Christmas in October gives us an opportunity to say, “We love you, and we’re behind you.” Christmas in October happens because churches like yours choose to make it happen.
Please be on the lookout for this material at your church. This year focuses on Immanuel, our faithful mission manager in India. A special video greeting from Immanuel is also available in the packets we mailed or online. We will be happy to send you a packet if you did not receive one. The packet contains two samples of this year’s Christmas in October bulletin and one sample of a poster. The black and white version is for you to reproduce on your own. To get more of the colored version, all you have to do is request them. Please request your quantities by September 11. They will be shipped to you free of charge.
You may also want to visit our Christmas in October webpage at www.acgc.us/cio. On the webpage, you can view the video and download a copy of the bulletin inserts and poster, and order color bulletin inserts. Please contact us at 704-545-6161 or at acpub@acgc.us for more information. Thank you for joining us in blessing our missionaries through Christmas in October.
Last week, a mailing that included a Pastor Appreciation guide was sent to all of our churches. This brief guide offers a few ideas regarding ways the members of your church can personally show love, honor and appreciation during the month of October. Simply request color fliers from our office that you can mail to every member of your church or make copies directly from this file.
We pray this resource will help you be prayerfully responsive to 1 Timothy 5:17, “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” Please let us know if there is any way we can be of assistance to you with any of this by contacting us at acpub@acgc.us.

Because so many churches are meeting online or in the parking lot, we made a video for you to share on your church Facebook page or website to encourage online giving to Penny Crusade. Since we published this video, it has had 102 engagements on Facebook and 36 views on YouTube, which has yielded five online gifts so far. Right now, the Penny Crusade annual budget is only 34% funded. We believe we can get 100% funding this year despite all the turmoil and change. Will you help?
Need help with the technical details? E-mail acpub@acgc.us.
