INDIA – On Monday, June 6, the Asia/Pacific Area Director (APAD) was invited to address the Annual General Body Meeting of the Fellowship of Blessed Hope Churches in India. The gathering consisted of the pastors and wives from the 16 churches of the conference. The day-long event included times for worship, fellowship, sessions on lifestyle evangelism taught by mission manager Dr. Ezhil Christadoss, discussions and a message from APAD via Zoom. The brothers and sisters in India gathered for the message at 6:00pm while for APAD it was 8:30am (Yes, India and the US are currently 10 1/2 hours apart). God was gracious to the gathering in allowing the Zoom meeting to occur without any technical difficulties. APAD spoke from Deuteronomy 34:7-12 on “Outliving Our Lives and Ministries” and Dr. Christadoss served as the translator. In the time immediately following the message APAD challenged the conference leadership in the areas of Leadership development, pastoral placement and succession, and church planting. The evening concluded with the pastors and wives enjoying a dinner together.
