Annual Meeting of the Advent Christian Pastor’s Alliance of Mexico

A report from our new Latin America Area Director, Craig Libby, regarding the annual meeting of the Advent Christian Pastor’s Alliance of Mexico.

MEXICO“The annual meeting of the AC Pastor’s Alliance of Mexico was held December 10, 2022, in Tecate, Mexico. The tone and atmosphere of the meeting was filled with food, laughter, fellowship and encouragement towards one another. It was a joy to see the commitment to the meeting by those pastors and their wives who drove up to Tecate from Ensenada. The only pastors absent were from the distant locations of La Paz and Sonora. Pastor Miguel led the meeting with his leadership team. He continues to mentor and develop leaders and invest in teaching leadership skills towards his succession goal of having a smooth transition when he prayerfully considers retiring from the leadership in two years. Prior to any voting, he reviewed at length the voting procedures of the conference to model proper voting procedures as an example of what the pastors may want to use in their own local churches.

“A highlight of the meeting was when Pastor Miguel asked for testimonies of those pastors and their wives who drove to La Paz to help our brother with his church construction in La Paz. The testimonies were filled with renewed faith through obedience, joy in sacrifice, unity of teammates, laughter in experiences remembered and a genuine optimistic attitude that together we can accomplish great things to help our brothers in need and have a fun time doing it. Personally, my heart was overjoyed with delight in seeing the bonding among the conference family as they shared their collective testimonies. They valued the experience so much that they are planning another trip to La Paz in the future.

“A great deal of ministry happens in social settings in Mexico. I was pleased to hear the reports of increased attendance in the men’s, women’s, and youth retreats. The conference body was optimistic about the planning and promoting of these retreats and expects even higher attendance in 2023.”
