Aurora Adventists Answer Prayers of Oswego Congregation

AURORA, ILL. –  An Aurora church has answered the prayers of an Oswego congregation for a temporary outdoor worship site. Redeemer Community Church of Oswego held its first worship service at 4 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 2) outdoors at Aurora Advent Christian Church. Aurora Advent is loaning its east lawn area to Redeemer for weekly outdoor worship services during August.

Josh Fenska, preaching pastor, delivered the sermon. A worship band in a small tent provided music. The service included a celebration of communion.

Rev. Matt Mull, Aurora’s senior pastor, said “We are excited to host Redeemer Community Church starting this week. They will be setting up a tent and holding outdoor worship services on our property at 4 p.m. on Sundays. They had been meeting at Plank Junior High School in Oswego prior to the ‘stay-at-home’ order and have been praying for a new place to gather. Please pray as we consider how we might partner with them in the future.”
