ILLINOIS – Each year for the past 16 years, the women of the Church of the Highlands WHFMS group have held a Soups ‘N Such fundraiser. Initially this was their own version of the “Bistro in the Basement” where friends, family and the neighborhood would gather to enjoy homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods. During the last few years, this has evolved into a curbside/pre-order event. While the details of this fundraiser have changed, the goal remains the same: raising monies to benefit not only local outreach efforts, but also sponsoring the camping program and calls from First Responders. Over the years they have repeatedly seen the Lord at work through this event and this year was no different!
