Cristo Salva Clinic Becomes COVID-19 Triage Center

HONDURAS – Cristo Salva Ministry owns a clinic that serves as a base of operation to serve outlying communities and the folks in Macuelizo. For several reasons, including COVID-19, Cristo Salva has not been able to take teams into Honduras or the District of Santa Barbara where the clinic is located. The facility has sat unused.

An agreement has been reached with local health officials to use the clinic as a regional triage and treatment center for COVID patients. The government is paying all expenses for upkeep and has even connected the clinic to the new city sewer system and has repainted the entire inside of the facility.

What a blessing that the Lord has seen fit to honor the many brothers and sisters that have contributed to the building’s construction and use. It is exciting to see the Lord using the facility in accordance with Cristo Salva’s vision of helping the people of Honduras. The triage center is open 24/7 and has inpatient facilities for short term COVID care. Almost the entire community of Macuelizo came out to support the endeavor thanks to Cristo Salva’s testimony in the region.
