Cristo Salva Leadership Presses On

Ray and Ledy Marco

HONDURAS – Pastor Ray continues to suffer from neuropathy from his bout with cancer and is still advised not to travel to Honduras. His wife Ledy has continued to go down to visit family and help determine the country’s climate in regards to ministry. The Marcos are in frequent contact with the national team and Pastor Ray meets weekly with Brother Enrique for discipleship training.

COVID is still a big problem in Honduras. Because the schools are not meeting in person, it is difficult to know how many students of the scholarship program are receiving instruction. Cristo Salva is looking at re-vamping the direction of the program to ensure that more children have access to online education.

The Cristo Salva leadership team continues to go down once or twice a year. Currently, they cannot take groups with them due to cartel violence and government corruption. The National Honduran team of Cristo Salva is continuing the school scholarships and four feeding programs, including a new feeding program in the Pinalejo area. The core group consists of three couples from one church who spearhead the outreaches. The feeding programs are continuing to feed about 800 children a week. The latest outreach to the “La Cumbre” township is doing well and continues to meet the physical needs of the community.
