Cristo Salva Ministry Closes

By Carol Kline

HONDURAS – Since 1991, Cristo Salva has been a Ministry of Encouragement to the people of Honduras, Central America. Pastor Ray Marco started the ministry with some of the members of his church in Miami. After Pastor Ray’s passing, the decision was made to close the Ministry of Cristo Salva. This week, Ledy Marco, Pastor Ron Thomas and his wife Jan, along with Earl and Carol Kline made the final trip for Cristo Salva to Honduras to close the ministry. It was a hard trip in so many ways, but also filled with sharing wonderful memories. We visited with Pastora Gladis, Mario and the students at the Green Wells school, Pastor Juan and the leaders of his church, Pastor Claros and Anita from Laguna Verde, Julian and Linda, and Argentina and her family in Pinalejo. We took a drive down cemetery road and saw Margarita for a few moments. We are grateful to Melvin and to Enrique and Miriam for all their hard work over the years. We gathered at the gate of the clinic, where so many had passed through seeking medical and spiritual care. We joined in prayer thanking God for all he has done in and through Pastor Ray and everyone who has served with the Ministry of Cristo Salva. We may be ending this ministry, but as Pastor Ray continually reminded us, “The kingdom of God is always moving forward.” May we all continue to advance the kingdom of God for his glory.
