Distancing Guidelines Open Gospel Opportunity

DEM. REP. OF CONGO – The Bread of Life fund-raising project, made possible by the WHFMS, provides a ministry of meals and teaching to orphans and impoverished children in designated countries. One of those ministries is in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Conference President Bertin Mwanya has adjusted his approach to comply with social distancing guidelines as prescribed by his country. Rather than having the children gather at a church location, they brought the meals to them. He writes,

“As the food packs are delivered to children in homes, we have the opportunity to share the gospel with their parents too. In the church context, children who are ministered to, through the Bread of Life project, receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior… learn to say Scriptures by heart, learn to pray and tell the good news to others. Thanks so much for the Bread of Life project, as it exposes the children to the gospel at an early age.”
