Executive Director Steve Lawson

February is always a busy month as we prepare for the Executive Council Meetings. This will be the first time we have held these meetings online through Zoom. Please pray for President Paul Dean and Recording Secretary Thomas Loghry as they work to make these meetings successful and beneficial to the work of ACGC. During these meetings, we will be discussing plans for the 2020 Triennial coming up in August in Concord, N.C. Our staff has been busy working on plans for the meeting including seminars, discussion forums and business sessions. We hope you are planning to attend and bring your family. The convention will be at the Great Wolf Lodge, which is a convention center with a water park and daily passes are included with your room reservation. You can go online and register for the convention at acgctriennial.com and find where to register for the Great Wolf Lodge.

Over the next few weeks, I will be traveling to Maine to meet with leaders about critical areas in the Strategic Plan and to meet with Berkshire President Glenn Rice. Then I’ll head up to Canada with Matt Larkin to visit one of our new partners in our work with Leadership Development. I will share more on that later in the month. In March, we have eight leaders going to Exponential Church Planting Conference in Orlando, Fla. While there, we will be meeting to discuss how we can work together across conference, regional and national lines to begin to help our churches plant new churches.

These are exciting times, so please be in prayer as we travel and meet together for the work of the kingdom of God. I believe God has a future for the Advent Christian denomination and we must strive to accomplish it together.
