With Leaders’ Conference Approaching…

Executive Director Steve Lawson

The challenge of the last two years has continued into 2022 with an extremely contagious coronavirus variant, Omicron. It has certainly increased the number of cases close to home for many of our churches and in our offices here in Charlotte. Thankfully, the seriousness of the current cases is much less than the previous variants. It is important that we all act wisely in the face of the spread of this virus. If you have symptoms stay home and if you have been in contact with family member or friend who has the virus, limit exposure to others until you know if you do or don’t have the virus. Many of our churches are taking precautions with asking people to wear masks or socially distancing while they gather. Just like in other years when the flu is spreading, we need to take precautions to protect one another.

As we prepare for the Leaders’ Conference, we are in contact with the Advent Christian Village about how to proceed safely. We will be taking precautions to protect those attending the conference and the residents of the Village. Please if you are planning to come be prepared to wear a mask and if you start to feel symptoms don’t try to push through the conference, isolate yourself and let someone know you might be ill. We want to have a great conference and believe we will if we are all careful.

If you are registered for the conference but did not buy the meal ticket offered by the Village, you will be responsible for your meals. The meal ticket from ACV is a great deal and you should be able to purchase that when you get there unless our numbers go over our estimates. Let us know if you change your mind and would like to be included.
