MTI Updates

This week I will be heading up to Maine to visit with a number of leaders about church planting, church health and leadership development. I will also be heading for the first time into Canada to visit Kingswood University in New Brunswick. This is a Christian University in Canada that a number of Advent Christian Students have attended over the last few years and we are working with them to connect our educational program with their ministry to assist students as they prepare for ministry opportunities. Matt Larkin and I will be traveling up and meeting with their president, Dr. Stephen J. Lennox.

Justin Nash and I will be traveling together in Maine meeting with Rick Qualls from the West Coast, Darren Bantz, Glenn Rice and Matt Larkin. I also hope to have some time with our Women’s Coordinator Beth Larkin, but she is recovering from a stint in the hospital, so it depends on how she is doing. Our time together will focus on pulling the work in the Western Region and ACGC involving church planting, leadership development and church health closer together to support one another in all that we do.

Glenn, Matt and I will be meeting to discuss the future development of the MTI Program as we partner with Berkshire Christian. Our goal is to open two more Field Offices in our other regions. We are excited about the interest in the program and our current 15 students. It is also exciting to hear from the prospective students for next year already making plans to be part of our second class. Please keep these meetings in your prayers as we strive to move forward with our Strategic Plan.
