Consequential Meetings to Take Place at Alton Bay

Executive Director Steve Lawson

Last week, Coordinator of Leadership Development Matt Larkin came to Charlotte to spend the week in the office meeting with various staff about the Ministry Training Institute (MTI). It was great to have Matt in the office for a few days and to have face to face discussions about future developments in the program. During the week, he visited the area touching base with MTI volunteers and possible future participants. On Wednesday and Thursday, Berkshire Christian President Glenn Rice joined us for meetings to discuss the future of MTI and Berkshire. President Rice has been a great asset to the development of MTI, working with our field directors developing courses among other contributions. The partnership between ACGC and Berkshire in the development of MTI has been ongoing for more than two years. We have been blessed over the last few years to watch MTI launch, expand, and now be virtually completed with all the classes written and with active students in all three years of the program. God has used Matt, his team of field directors, volunteers, mentors and partnering churches to build a training program that is currently training future pastors, church planters and possible missionaries for the Advent Christian ministry. We are excited to see how God continues to use MTI.

This week I will be traveling to Alton Bay to participate in meetings of the Berkshire Christian Trustee Board and Alton Bay board. Matt and I will be joining the Berkshire board as we strategize what comes next for Berkshire and MTI. On Saturday, the Alton Bay Board will be having their regular board meeting looking forward to a full summer of ministry at the conference center and the campground. Please pray for safe travels and fruitful meetings for these two boards.
