Checking in on Church Planting and MTI

Executive Director Steve Lawson

Strategic Plans moving forward
Our new Coordinator of Church Planting Adrian Dixon continues to develop pathways for church planters to be successful. ACGC assists with critical parts of the pre-launch process. In part, this includes offering the church planter accountability and church planting tools and resources. Adrian has already developed relationships with church planters in the pipeline to begin to plant churches around North America. Please pray for the critical ministry that focuses on sharing Christ with those who do not know him and on building the kingdom of God!

MTI focus on Training
Last Tuesday evening, I joined in on the “Study & Support Session” with Ministry Training Institute leaders. This was for students to join on a Zoom session with faculty and staff to ask questions and get study helps for their classes. The invitation describes the session like this:

Study & Support Session

Join your fellow students and some of the MTI faculty and administration TOMORROW NIGHT for our first Study and Support Session! This will be an opportunity to get together with your fellow students, via ZOOM video conferencing, for either personal collaborative study. Your field directors and our MTI digital librarian will be present to help you with assignments. Note that this opportunity is for ALL STUDENTS in all phases of the MTI program.
During this time, you’ll have opportunities for:
ACCOUNTABILITY
STUDY HELP
ASSIGNMENT COLLABORATION

The session was hosted by program director Matt Larkin along with research librarian David Richards and field directors Matt Rice and Jesse Stevens. This was a great idea for the students to gain understanding of assignments, get support for biblical ideas on study projects and talk together about course work. The plan is to do a number of these sessions throughout the semester. Please be in prayer for these students as they prepare for ministry, the faithful faculty and support staff and for more students to join the program of study to prepare for leadership in our churches.
