God is Good! All the time! This statement takes on a powerful meaning after my last few weeks. I want to say thanks to all of you who have prayed for me as I recover from a heart attack. God has been good to me through everything I have faced, and I know he will continue to guide and direct me as I recover. Through all the issues I have had with my heart, from bypass surgery to valve replacement, this heart attack has hit me the hardest. The doctors have told me I have minimal damage to my heart muscle and that with rehab I should be able to get back to full strength.

I have spent the last few weeks with Karen in Florida taking it easy and working at building my strength and endurance. This week I am working from my office in our home in Florida and plan to be back on the road next Monday for SACA meetings and then in the office the rest of the week. Monday was my first day back and I spent a lot of my time on the phone catching up with my staff and touching base with leadership.

Finally, I want to say thanks to all our staff at ACGC and how they have stepped up in my absence. We are truly blessed to have these people working for our denomination to further our ministry for God’s kingdom. I also want to say thanks for the care and concern they have shown to Karen and me, making sure I took the time I need to recover. Thanks to our Executive Council and superintendents who have called and given us their support.
