Back to Work!

I had the privilege of participating in the Central Region board meeting through Zoom on Saturday, April 24. Then on Monday the 26th I joined with the Southern Advent Christian Region board for Spring meetings. It was good to be able to participate in these meetings and be with those SACA board members in Walterboro, SC.

(L to R) Georgia Conference President Clint Hutcheson, Superintendent Joe Pritchett, Florida Conference President Robert Osborne, Executive Director Steve Lawson, Regional President Paul Dean, South Carolina Conference President Wayne Lucas

During both meetings, we heard reports from conference presidents and regional superintendents. In the SACA meeting, President Paul Dean led a discussion about ways regions and ACGC can work together to support our conferences and local churches. This was a great way to prepare for the Triennial discussion about possible future organizational restructuring.

The rest of the week I spent in Charlotte getting up to speed with ACGC staff both in person and on the phone. It was good to hear how things are progressing in preparation for the Triennial Convention in August and in our various departments.

This past weekend, I joined the Alton Bay board meeting through Zoom. Executive Director Brad Smith shared about the upcoming summer ministries and the continued conference and retreat schedule. The ministry of Alton Bay continues to expand, reaching out to cottage owners, guests and ministry groups from all around the Northeast.

Have you registered for ACGC Triennial Convention in August? If not, visit acgc.us/triennial/ to sign up and plan to join us at Ridgecrest Conference Center!
