Have You Checked Out Alton Bay?

This past weekend I was in Alton Bay, New Hampshire for Alton Bay Camp meeting Association (ABCA) board meetings. I always enjoy going up to this beautiful place, even if most of my time is spent in meetings. In our meeting, we spent a lot of time discussing the heritage of Alton Bay and looking to the future. As most of you are aware, many families have lost their cottages at Alton Bay due to several fires over the last 50 years. The cottages that remain are owned by evangelical Christians who are committed to having a Christ-like environment to come to for relaxation and discipleship. The board is devoted to that ministry both to the cottage owners and to conferences and retreats that use the facility year-round.

Executive Director Steve Lawson

I am excited that Alton Bay will be sending a representative to Triennial this year. He will be giving a report and will have a display sharing about the wonderful facilities and ministries that happen year-round, but especially during the summer months. It is the board’s desire to share news and happenings at Alton Bay in Advent Christian circles so those in the area can enjoy this wonderful ministry. Advent Christian pastors have the privilege of being members at the ABCA and you can be a member even if you don’t own a cottage. If you have not seen the ministry, visit their website or better yet plan a trip and get a tour!
