We are preparing this week for our Executive Council to have our first face-to-face meetings since September 2019. The meetings will take place September 9-11. Please pray for all our members and superintendents as they prepare to travel to Charlotte. We are all excited about having the opportunity to meet together and share about the needs and future of ACGC’s ministries. We are being cautious about our gathering and planning to meet at a large facility at the Shiloh AC Church, so we can socially distance during our meetings. Our superintendents will meet all day on Tuesday and Wednesday morning to share prior to the council’s gathering. Our new members, Deborah Reed and Rev. Johnson Raju will go through orientation on Wednesday afternoon with all ACGC coordinators and directors. Please be in prayer for these meetings as we prepare for our general gathering.

During our time together, we will be discussing the work done on our 2017-20 Strategic Plan and our planning for the next two-and-a-half years leading to the 2023 Triennial. It is a critical time as we come through and hopefully out of the pandemic working to whatever the new normal will be for our churches and partners in ministry. Our pastors and leaders face many challenges of ministering to an ever-changing world as the COVID virus continues to threaten lives. Our goal at ACGC is to come alongside our local churches, partnering with our regions and conferences, to help lead through these difficult times.

As we look forward, we are making plans for our 2022 AC Leaders’ Conference, so please mark your calendars for February 2-4 and plan to join us at Advent Christian Village.
