Council Meetings Starting Strong

Executive Director Steve Lawson

As we prepare for our meetings this week, COVID has decided to infiltrate our circle of relations here at ACGC! We are talking precautions and meeting in a large area to socially distance but please be in prayer for those who are struggling with the virus plus those who are taking care of them.

I am meeting with our regional superintendents Tuesday and Wednesday and during our discussion, one of them made the statement that we are learning to live with the COVID virus much like we have to with the flu. It is a reality of our current world and we have to keep moving forward taking proper precautions to safeguard to the best of our ability. As we talked about the struggles our churches have faced through the pandemic, the reality that Satan is certainly excited about the confusion, division and bitterness this virus has created within God’s family. We all need to pray for God to bring peace and unity into our hearts and minds as we focus on worshiping God. Loving each other even in our differences.

It has been a good day-and-a-half spending time with our superintendents and our new ACGC president John Gallagher. How wonderful it is to be with God’s people discussing and praying about the ministries for the kingdom of God! We are looking forward to the rest of the council joining us for the next few days of meetings.
