Executive Council Looks to The Future

ACGC Executive Council met from Thursday through Saturday last week and our meetings went well. We welcomed our two new council members, Johnson Raju and Deborah Reed, along with all but two council members to Shiloh AC Church. ACGC staff gave detailed reports to the council since we have not been able to meet in person since September 2019. Part of these reports was an evaluation of our 2017 Strategic Plan and a revamping of that plan for the next two years leading to the 2023 Triennial. Our newly elected president John Gallagher did a great job leading the meetings and getting the council to engage with our directors and coordinators, which is always a plus for these gatherings. We finished our time together with a focus on prayer for our leaders and the direction of ministry for our churches, conferences, regions and the role of ACGC. Thanks to all of you for praying as we met and please continue to pray for God to use all of us for kingdom work!

National Association of Evangelicals sent out this plea for help for people of Haiti

From the World Relief Website:

On August 14, 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck Les Cayes, Haiti. Within 24 hours, the death toll had reached over 500, with more than 5700 people reported injured. The earthquake’s impact triggered a landslide, blocking off key access to Les Cayes. Many buildings and homes have collapsed, and hospitals are overwhelmed by the numbers in need.

The Earthquake has been devastating to the people in Haiti, and they are in urgent need of our support and resources to restore their communities.

Together we can meet these urgent needs by providing medical supplies and staff, hygiene supplies, food, drinking water, psychosocial support, tents, and blankets.

Your gift has the power to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by the earthquake. If you would like to give, you may do so here.
