Georgia Conference Recap
GEORGIA – The 138th Annual Meeting of the Georgia Conference of Advent Christian Churches was held July 21-22, 2023, at Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church in Kite, Georgia. The event included an Executive Board meeting and Friday worship service. Saturday’s business session featured a vote to move the annual meeting to the Saturday before the fourth Sunday of January, an installation of officers and a special memorial recognition of Rev. Ray Brown with a presentation of an embroidered Christian flag given to Ray’s family.
Officers elected for 2023: president: Clint Hutcheson, vice president: Nate Dean, treasurer: Brent P. Ross, business chair: Burley Page, ministerial chair: M.L. Barber, WH&FMS: Marihelen Newman and CE chair Dale Wilkerson. (No secretary was elected – the board will appoint one at a later date).
