Giving Tuesday Challenge!

Yesterday, we set a goal to raise $9,500
for the World Hunger/Emergency Relief Fund for #givingtuesday

Maize sent to Tanzania in July 2022 during severe drought.

Our World Hunger/Emergency Relief drive fell short this year. Each year in October, we prompt churches to give to this fund. This money is kept in an account for the following year so that we can respond quickly when disaster strikes among our sister ministries.

So far this year, we have dispersed over $17k in aid.
Here's where the money went:

Building materials and emergency supplies to the Philippines following the massive destruction of Typhoon Rai in December 2021.

Bags of cornmeal for church families suffering from hunger due to severe drought conditions in Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya and Mozambique.

Payroll assistance for Mondo Karmar when he was suspended from his job following false accusations. He directs Agape House ministry in Papua New Guinea and cares for five orphans in his home. He has now been rightly restored to his job.

Looking to 2023, with your donation, we will send aid when crisis strikes.

#GivingTuesday was yesterday but there’s still time to give to what matters. Our account is down to $11,000, which means we are prepared to disperse less than last year. We anticipate more requests from Africa in the coming year due to widespread famine.

Will you give today so that we will be able to help more in 2023?
