Hunger Relief Funds Bring Much-Needed Aid in Mozambique and Malawi
MOZAMBIQUE/MALAWI – Over the last couple of months we have sent two amounts of hunger relief funds to our brothers and sisters in the Maranatha Advent Christian Conference, which has churches in Mozambique and Malawi. Conference president Samuel Kasakatira has personally overseen the distribution of the gifts to our pastors and their families. Samuel recognized this as an important opportunity not only to provide financial help for those facing a lack of food but also to meet with and encourage each of the pastors.
After the first gift was sent, Samuel visited certain churches and distributed the relief funds. With the latest round of funds sent, Samuel was able to visit a different set of churches and do the same. Samuel writes,
We had a wonderful mission work to Mozambique and Malawi during our Pastor’s relief hunger distribution. We praise God for the journey mercies. Once again on behalf of Maranatha Advent Christian Conference, I would like to thank you and all brothers there for the timely support on this time of famine.
All this is quite an undertaking, as it involves several days of travel, crossing a number of rivers and coordinating the gatherings at each site. We thank the Lord that we were able to help meet some needs during this difficult famine. Thank you to all who give to ACGC to help make this possible.
