School supply distribution at Green Wells School
Honduras

Our God is so amazing! The school supplies have been distributed to all of the students that many of you sponsor through Cristo Salva. Three members of Cristo Salva returned to Honduras in January to help with the distribution – however, the real credit goes to the part of the team that lives in Honduras. They did all the coordination, certification of the students and monitoring for compliance over the past year.

Many of you have not yet been on a trip to Honduras and met these “God-gifted” brothers and sisters. So, I would like to share briefly about their leadership:

  • Melvin is a newscaster and film director, well known in government circles. He heads up the scholarship team and maintains liaisons with the students and their parents. His wife Yolana works for an Internet company and is very accomplished in administration and organization.
  • Oscar works at various jobs and volunteers much of his time to Cristo Salva when teams are there, picking up the work that needs to be done in between the teams. His wife Dina helps support their family by making and selling jewelry. They are grateful to Cristo Salva for the assistance given when both of their boys were near death with dengue fever. They want to help as a way to say thanks to God for saving their boys.
  • Enrique is the main translator for the communications with the Cristo Salva team. He is a reliable servant with a love of Jesus in his life. His wife Miriam and Melvin’s wife Yolana were the folks who purchased and coordinated the school supplies and uniforms for this year’s scholarship distribution.

Pray for our fellow servants who enable Cristo Salva to do more than they could alone.

Convivio in La Paz

At the “Mission La Paz” Church with Pastor Juan and Sister Eva, the physical nourishment comes after the spiritual nourishment. It is an awesome way to build relationships with people from the community who are in the church service. In this photo, it was only nachos, but the time spent was definitely kingdom building.

Last month, I reported that Pastors Juan and Adrian from La Paz, along with their wives, went on a speaking tour with some youth they had been mentoring. Apart from the benefit of visiting different churches and blessing them through the Word and music, the youth’s vision of the greatness of our God was expanded. They have a better understanding of the unity of the body of believers as well as a new appreciation for the beauty of his creation. Thank you, Lord, for providing this opportunity.
