COVID-19 Halts Clothing Factory that Funds Ministry

MYANMAR – Last year, Pastor Kenneth purchased sewing equipment and trained six ladies in the skill of cutting and sewing children’s clothing. This past October, he successfully launched a small clothing factory that he hoped would provide ongoing funding for his ministry. Pastor Kenneth’s ministry focuses on church planting, leadership development and orphan care. Thanks be to God, the small shop has received steady orders and generated much-needed income to fund their ministry work. Due to recent COVID-19 restrictions, however, the shop has been closed. Pray with us that they will soon be able to start up production and continue funding gospel work.

Lockdowns Lift to Relief of Christians in Mexico, Thailand

LA PAZ, MEXICO – John Gilbert, ACGC Latin American Area Director, wrote to inform us that the Mexican state of Baja California Sur has downgraded from “red status” to “yellow status.” This change in status allows the two eager churches in La Paz to once again meet as long as social distancing is maintained. Here’s a picture of some of the church members from Pastor Adrian’s church “Mission Viento Recio” where people sit in clusters with their immediate families. We are so glad they can fellowship again!

Mexico churches meet

NARATCHAKWAI, THAILAND – Christian Mission Naratchakwai (CMN) published photos of their first Leadership Meeting post lockdown. Despite masked faces, you can sense the joy and relief in their ability to meet again. You can see that they are following protocols much like those in the U.S. – temperature checks, hand sanitizer, social distancing, etc. Later that day, several from CMN went to deliver food to vulnerable seniors and pray over their health.
