The United Advent Christian Church in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a full-time senior pastor. In addition to the position, we offer a parsonage located on the property adjacent to the church building, with all utilities, cable, internet provided by the church.
The United Advent Christian Church was a merger of the Fourth Street Advent Christian Church and the Wilmington Advent Christian Church on January 1, 1970. The congregation will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on November 24, 2024.
Wilmington is a fast-growing community which provides us with the opportunity for future growth. We are located only a few miles from three beaches that provide plenty of recreational activities for the entire family. The Wilmington campus of the University of North Carolina is within 10 miles of the church.

The role of the Minister of Pastoral Care is to provide personal ministry to the church family and the Advent Christian Village Community. This care includes hospital and home visitation, counseling, and grief care. This person works with the pastoral staff in the overall ministry of the church family, focused on pastoral leadership within specific ministry groups.

We are searching for a bi-vocational or semi-retired pastor with a servant’s heart, who truly cares for the congregation, and our community at large. Our church is a family and community-oriented church, with a multi-level outreach. We are an open, loving church family ready to welcome a new pastor. A recently remodeled parsonage, with some utilities being included (water garbage, basic telephone, basic internet) along with a monthly salary of $1700 – $2000, depending on additional opportunities/duties. The parsonage is 3 bedrooms, 2 bath with full basement, one car garage.
CCBF is located in a rural area nestled amidst a forest/agricultural setting in the foothills of the Cascades.
