Lindsey Emma Hughes Musick, age 42, died peacefully on Friday December 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving mother and sister. Born on September 19, 1980 to the late John and Emily Hughes, Lindsey was a lover and worshipper her entire life. She was blessed with a great family and loving siblings, Travers Hughes and Hillary (Anthony) Carnell and her aunt Jessica Hughes. Lindsey’s family was so important to her and she is cherished by her nieces Taylor Hughes, Chloe and Charlie Carnell, and nephew Tanner Hughes. The greatest focus of Lindsey’s life were her three adoring children who she loved fiercely they are Moriah Hope, Lottie Moon, and Hosea Simeon Musick and her beloved borrowed daughter, the late Laura Abigail Miller. Lindsey would say that she has been blessed with amazing friends and her church. She loved her second family at Cornerstone Christian Church and the Colontown community.
Throughout Lindsey’s life she was an advocate, champion, and help for those who were hurting and unseen. She leaves behind many people who were inspired by her cancer journey and her journey as a single mother. As a believer in Christ, Lindsey followed the Lord in many locations having served on mission trips in Hungry and South Korea, yet also moving to Chennai India where she helped inspire many. Throughout her life, Lindsey was known as a faithful friend, voice of care, and a person who took serious her commitment to love her neighbor as herself. Lindsey was a member of the Sparta Advent Christian Church and was a missionary to India in 2007-2008.
