(August 30, 1939 – June 26, 2016)

Allene “Tiny” Linkous, age 76 of the Adria community in North Tazewell, Va., died Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. Born August 30, 1939, in Buchanan County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Dempsey and Frances Wright Ramey. She was a member of the Adria Advent Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Edith Ramey.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Randall Linkous; son, Scott Linkous and wife, Kerina of Vinton, Va.; granddaughter, Morgan Brown and husband, Wes of Roanoke, Va.; brothers, Anthony Ramey and friend, Donna of Grundy, Va., and Eugene Ramey of Morristown, Tenn.; sisters, Lucille Whitt and husband, Fred, and Roma Lee Clevinger and husband, Kermit, all of Grundy, Va.

The family will receive friends at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, Va., from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, Va., with the Reverend Mark Sexton and Nathan Thomas officiating. Those planning to attend graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to the American Cancer Society.
