Maranatha Conference President Canoes to Encourage Churches

MOZAMBIQUE/MALAWI – Pastor Samuel Kasakatira was elected to lead the Maranatha Conference as president only months ago. He has wasted no time in acting on his priority of bringing direct encouragement to pastors and churches, despite the disruptions and threat of the coronavirus. The Maranatha Conference includes all our churches in Mozambique as well as some in Malawi. This makes visiting the churches a challenge. There is also the difficulty the geography of the region poses for travel, such as rivers that must be crossed by boat. These photos show Pastor Samuel crossing the Shire River in southern Malawi in a dugout canoe to spend a few hours with AC churches and pastors.
