MALAWI – This month of November has seen frequent demonstrations in Malawi’s major cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu since the prices of gas and commodities have steadily increased. The president had promised decreased prices and more jobs with little or no visible progress. With each demonstration, the boldness of the crowd has increased until a mob mentality has developed. The police have attempted to disperse the crowd with teargas. The rioters responded on Nov. 19 by torching a police unit in Blantyre as well as other properties. Businesses have shut down for their own safety.

Pray that our brethren in Malawi will maintain focused on the Lord and his kingdom while effectively delivering his message of peace.
