More Datoga Members Put Their Faith in Christ

TANZANIA – Pastors Amos Komanya and Elisha Dotto spent two weeks with the unreached Datoga tribe. An earlier missionary trip saw the miraculous conversion of four witchdoctors, but this trip proved to be even more profitable as the former witchdoctors accompanied our two missionaries door-to-door sharing the gospel! Doors opened everywhere to welcome the converted witchdoctors and their friends. They shared about meeting a God who is more powerful than any they had previously served. Even better, they shared about how God truly loves us, for he gave his only son as a sacrifice for us. Because of the witchdoctors’ testimonies, Elisha and Amos were granted a platform to tell each household the good news of Jesus Christ.
Door-to-door-to-door they went, and the results were so often the same that they became predictable. Entire households gave their lives to Jesus Christ and demonstrated it by turning over their fetishes and charms to be burned outside the house. Satan did not surrender quietly as there were times of great spiritual warfare, but God had the ultimate victory. God strengthened the missionaries to return to the village and take the good news to even more homes.
The physical exhaustion took its toll on Pastor Elisha, but he is now fully recovered and readying himself for the next trip. Thank God for men who are ready to leave their comfort zones and put their lives on the line to spread the kingdom of God.
