MTI Intro Series: What is a Field Office?

Blog post by Matt Larkin, MTI Program Coordinator

Field Offices are Regional Touchpoints for the MTI Program

As a program designed to support the local church in its crucial calling of leadership development, the Ministry Training Institute has established regional field offices in four different locations around the United States (Bangor, ME, Knightdale, NC, Oxford, MA, and Baraboo, WI), with one additional field office operating in service to our international students through Zoom-based communication. Our field offices exist in partnership with local churches and/or denominational entities who are interested in making the program available in their particular area. These field offices are crucial to MTI operations, serving as training hubs which help resource their geographic area by providing support for those interested or those participating in the program. A field office is home to a field director.

Field Directors serve as the primary administrative lead for each field office location. They are selected due to their passion for equipping the bride of Christ and for having demonstrated particular gifting to do so. They aid in the facilitation of courses or identify trusted instructors to assist with teaching. Managing the day-to-day duties, field directors communicate with students, mentors and course facilitators to provide encouragement, updates, and guidance. They also serve as the primary connection point to the broader MTI program staff which helps maintain program continuity and quality across all MTI sites.
