Grace Advent Christian Church just had their first “drive-in church” service this past Sunday. They had a great turn out. About 70 people in their respected vehicles tuned their radios to the service or rolled their windows down to hear it coming through the speakers in our steeple. They were also able to livestream it and had over 120 people viewing the service online. For the following Sundays, they plan to still hold a “Drive-in Church Service.” This style of church is beneficial for those that don’t have the internet and still want to attend. Plus, they can have a comfortable seat and control the AC/heat.

“I have feeding for orphans, beggars and the poor. Distributed fruits at Mahabubabad.”

Kenya Advent Christian Conference

Pastor Samuel Ondieki wrote on March 30:

“We have been locked in the house for the last week and a curfew is on for the next 21 days. There is little support I received from the government. COVID-19 has made food prices twice as high and everything is costly. I want to thank God for good health for the children (orphanage). Coronavirus is moving at a rapid rate here in Kenya and I pray God will have mercy on us and around the globe. This time let us cry to God and for God to heal our land. God bless you all.”

Mozambique – Advent Christian Conference

On a recent phone call with Africa/Europe Area Director Bryce Whiting, Samuel Kasakatira (Mozambique Conference President) and four conference pastors were pleased to greet Bryce and to let him know that they are asking God for his blessing in the U.S. as we battle coronavirus.

As the new Conference President, Pastor Samuel Kasakatira is acquainting himself with the churches. Finding some of them to be meeting under a mango tree, he is taking a bold position of leadership by teaching them the responsibility of building their own buildings using the resources they have: dirt, hands and labor. They are making bricks and putting them into place themselves.
