Since its purchase about 20 years ago, this school has been a very valuable “bridge into the community” for ACCI’s outreach in the city of Khagaria and surrounding areas. On many occasions, the school has been protected from the actions of radical anti-Christian Hindus by appreciative parents of children who attend the school.

St. Xavier’s High School is operating from a rented property, which is too small and dilapidated for the more than 1,200 students who now attend. They have purchased their own land nearby and begun construction on a new school. The government education authorities approved the plans for this with the condition that the buildings must be completed within 12 months.
