Nigerian AC Conference Holds Annual Convention
NIGERIA – The Annual Convention of Advent Christian Churches took place the weekend before Christmas from December 15, 2023 to December 17, 2023. Over 100 members attended! This event took place in Calabar, Nigeria.
Imoh Akpan, conference president, shared the following report with us here at ACGC:
The theme for the event was “SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS” taken from 2 Kings 7:1-2. … Friday night …, Rev Emmanuel Samuel spoke on the topic: “By this time tomorrow.” Apostle Christian Paul on Saturday morning …, spoke on the topic, “How to attract the blessings of God.” The vice president, Rev. Iniobong Sambo on Saturday evening, bless[ed] the body of Christ with what he titled “The Rain of Favour.”
The grand finale on Sunday was Sunday Divine Service where members worshiped God whole heartedly. The National President, Apostle Imoh Akpan [gave] his message titled “Are you prepared for Divine Assignment.” He exhorted Christians to always be prepared and ready for any opportunity that may show forth, Isaiah 11:1.
Some highlights of the event included much singing and dancing presented by groups from each church in attendance; as well as carols sung to “mark the yuletide season.”
The event came to a close on Sunday, December 17, and those in attendance returned home. The weekend ended with praise and joyfulness abounding! Praise the Lord for his grace and faithfulness.
