WASHINGTON – Last weekend Nooksack Christian Fellowship hosted the Explore Missions program, drawing around 30 participants from the congregation. The events kicked off on Friday evening with a broad overview of worldwide missions, highlighting the immense need among unreached peoples. Participants also spent time in focused prayer for the unreached in America.

Saturday was packed with engaging activities, including international meals featuring Filipino, Hispanic, Japanese, Indian, and American cuisine. Attendees listened to inspiring stories from those who have served on the mission field and participated in a cross-cultural simulation game. In the afternoon, Ivan Montenegro shared his compelling life story, detailing how God has used him to plant Hispanic churches in northern Washington.

The weekend concluded with a panel discussion that encouraged participants to consider their next steps in missions involvement. A big thank you to Nooksack Christian Fellowship pastor Schad Russell and his wife Lisa for being enthusiastic hosts.

Explore Missions is a program of ACGC’s International Missions Department. Its purpose is to encourage involvement in missions through offering engaging cross-cultural experiences and time with former and current missionaries.
